The Eastern Garden is an above average Chinese restaurant. The portions are large and the food is delicious. We have not had a dish there that we would not order again. Eastern is worth the trip.

So, I saw so many good reviews of this place that I had to check it out. From the outside, it really does not look like much. On the inside it is cozy and clean but lacking in the “traditional” Chinese restaurant look. My wife and I ordered lunch specials. Hers was pork lo-mein won-ton soup and an egg roll. I ordered The General Tso chicken , won-ton soup and an egg roll also. We had hot tea and ice water to drink. The service was fast and friendly and the portions were good for lunch specials. Everything was well prepared, fresh tasting and HOT. I mean scorching hot fresh out of the wok. I really like that in a restaurant. I know my food was not sitting around. everything tasted very good and we even ordered 2 qts of soup to go for our kids to try. For the 2 lunch specials that came with soup, eggrolls and the 2 qts of soup our bill came to $22. A pretty good deal for what we got. Bottom line is we will go back to try some other items on the menu. It was well worth the 30 minute trip to get there.
